Biography
Charles B Nemeroff is a board certified geriatric psychiatrist who is Director of the University of Miami Center on Aging and Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. His research has concentrated on the biological basis of the major neuropsychiatric disorders. His clinical research is focused on the use of genetic, neuroendocrine, neuroimaging and neurochemical methods to comprehensively understand the pathophysiology of depression. In recent years he has uncovered the neurobiological mechanisms that mediate the increased risk for depression in victims of child abuse. He has also contributed to research concerning the relationship of depression to cardiovascular disease, as well as to identifying predictors of specific antidepressant treatment responses. Dr. Nemeroff has received numerous honors during his career including the distinguished Menninger Prize from the American College of Physicians and the Research Award from the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. He is a member of the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences He has served on the Mental Health Advisory Council of the National Institutes of Mental Health and the Biomedical Research Council for NASA. He is past President of the American College of Neuropsychopharmacology and the American College of Psychiatrists. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. He has published more than 900 research reports and reviews.
Research Interest

Biography
Giampaolo Perna has completed his MD and PhD from Milan State University becoming psychiatrist in the same university. He is the chairman of the department of clinical neurosciences of Hermanas Hospitalarias - Villa San Benedetto Menni near Como Lake. He has published more than 100 papers in impacted journals. He is voluntary professor at Leonard Miller School of Medicine, University of Miami and associate professor at Maastricht University. He is the chair of the WPA section on personalized psychiatry and member of the executive board of the Italian Association for Behavior Analysis and Modification and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (AIAMC).

Biography
Jouko Miettunen has university degrees in statistics (MSc 1998; University of Oulu, Finland), epidemiology (MPhil 2003; University of Cambridge, UK), and psychiatry (PhD 2004; University of Oulu, Finland). Since 1997 he has work in various research positions at the University of Oulu, Finland. Currently he holds a position as a Professor in Clinical Epidemiology and he works also as an Academy Research Fellow of the Academy of Finland. He has over 160 peer-reviewed publications in field of psychiatry, his research focus has been especially on Schizophrenia.
